How to Play

Play Daily Line Game online for free. Daily Line Game is a drawing puzzle game where you must fill an entire grid with lines. Each line must originate from a numbered cell and occupy as many blank cells as the number mentions. Lines cannot intersect and cannot occupy other numbered cells. Lines may travel in multiple directions from each numbered cell, but can not turn in other cells. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

  • Starting the Game
    • On the welcome screen, choose a difficulty level to begin:
      • 8 x 8
      • 10 x 10
      • 12 x 12
      • Select Help to learn how to play.
      • Select Print Today’s Puzzle to create a hard copy of the game.
      • Change the game’s language through the drop-down list on the top left corner of the screen.

                  • The game’s indicators are located on the right side of the screen. From the top, these are as follows:
                    • The game’s logo
                    • The present date
                    • The timer
                    • The first row of buttons, from left to right:
                      • Pause button: Momentarily stops the game’s timer
                      • Reset button: Returns everything to the way it was when you began
                      • The second row of buttons, from left to right:
                        • Music button: Toggles the game’s music
                        • Sound effects button: Toggles the game’s audio cues
                        • Enlarge button: Lets you switch between windowed and full screen modes
                        • Game Play
                          • Generating puzzles
                            • The game generates a different puzzle for every day of the year.
                            • You can choose up to 365 to 366 different puzzles for each difficulty level.
                            • You can play again by choosing the puzzle of a different day on the calendar or by selecting next on the winning screen.
                            • Objectives
                              • Fill the entire grid with horizontal and vertical lines.
                                • The lines must come from specific cells with numbers on them (a “black cell”).
                                • Each line must fill the number of empty (white) cells based on the number of their black cell of origin.
                                • The line may move in any direction from the numbered cell (and in multiple different directions from the numbered cell) but the lines can not turn at other locations.
                                • Rules
                                  • The lines cannot enter black cells.
                                  • The originating black cells do not count against the number of cells occupied by the line.
                                  • The lines cannot intersect.
                                  • Target Audience
                                    • The game is suited for people of all ages who like spatial logic puzzle games.
                                    • The game has no adult themed content.
