How to Play

Play The Curse of Medusa online for free. The Curse of Medusa is a simple platformer fighting game where you must turn the soldiers to stone by shooting lasers from Medusa's eyes & then throw the stone soldiers against the walls to destroy them. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

Select the START button on the welcome screen to start the game.
There is also a music control button on the welcome screen.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - Press the X button to activate your eyes to turn fighters into stone.
  - X is also used to pick up stone soldiers and throw them against a wall to destroy them.
  - Move left and right with the left and right arrow keys.
  - Jump or move down platforms with the up and down arrow keys.
  - Touchscreen devices
    - This game is best played on desktop devices with a connected keyboard.
    - Controls & indicators
      - The upper left corner of the screen shows your current score.
      - To center the game shows the high score and remaining level time.
      - The upper right corner of the screen shows how many lives you have.
      - Game Play
        Defeating enemies
        Turn enemies into stone & then carry them into a wall or throw them into a wall while they are in their stone state.
        Enemies only need thrown in a wall once to be defeated.
        Enemies blink when they are about to turn back to their normal form from stone.
        Scoring
        When the soldiers are in their stone state you can open treasure chests by throwing the stone soldiers at them.
        This will not kill the soldiers, but will allow you to collect gems inside.
        Dying
        You die whenever you are touched by a soldier.
        When the level timer reaches zero a strong flying soldier enters the game.
        When you die 3 times it is game over & you start back at the first level.
        Levels
        This game has 10 levels which are unlocked in sequential order.
        You can’t go back and replay previously beat levels without starting the game over.
        You get 1 minute to beat each level.
        If you die 3 times then your game is over and you start back at the first level.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for players who like pixelated monster games.
        The game has no adult themed content.
